In conjunction with World Neglected Tropical Diseases Day 2026, we are pleased to announce that registration is now open for a webinar dedicated to the launch of the “ Essential care package to address mental health and stigma for persons with neglected tropical diseases”.
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and mental health conditions are independently burdensome and significantly interlinked. In addition, stigma creates barriers preventing people living with NTDs from participating in society, leading to a decreased quality of life and resulting in delayed help-seeking and treatment.
The webinar is organized by the World Health Organization (WHO) (department of Noncommunicable Diseases and Mental Health and department of Malaria and Neglected Tropical Diseases), by the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (LSTM) and by the Mental Health Innovation Network (MHIN).
